An article devoted to President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva is published in the magazine “Vietnamese Woman”

The June edition of the magazine “Vietnamese Woman” published an article entitled “The Vietnam visit of the most influential woman of 2014” devoted to Azerbaijan’s First Lady, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva.

The “Vietnamese Woman” is a press organ of the Union of Women of the country with over 15 million members.

It is stated in the article that the visit by First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva within the framework of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s state visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on 18-19 May was the focus of attention not only for local mass media, but also common Vietnamese.

Distributed in 135 countries, the magazine talks about Mehriban Aliyeva’s role in Azerbaijan’s public, political and cultural life. “Azerbaijani Culture Friends Foundation headed by Mehriban Aliyeva, “Irs” Magazine, founded at her initiative and printed in a number of foreign languages, have been contributing to promotion of Azerbaijan’s culture throughout the world”, - states the article: “For her matchless services in preservation and development of folk literature and music heritage, Mehriban Aliyeva was awarded the title of UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador”.

Charitable actions taken by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, headed by Mehriban Aliyeva, in Azerbaijan and in a number of foreign countries, as well as Mehriban Aliyeva’s activities as MP and deputy chairperson of the ruling Yeni Azerbaijan Party are talked about in the article: “For her multifaceted activities, Mehriban Aliyeva has been awarded a number of prestigious prizes both in the country and abroad, and was named the most influential woman of a year in public opinion polls held by local and foreign organizations”.
